Mr Aguilar joined Pierre Fabre’s Group in 2005 to lead Company’s efforts in scientific and biotechnology affairs. With a solid operational experience in the biotech industry, he managed the operations in a start-up company in cellular genomics from 2001 to 2005. From 1995 to mid 2001, Mr Aguilar was Project then Program Manager at the Genomics Research Center of Genset in Evry, France. He coordinated comprehensive genome sequencing and analysis projects for corporate clients. Since 1999, he also served QA/QC Manager to scale-up and transfer novel genomic and sequencing technologies to production teams. Prior to that, he developed and managed the large scale SNP genotyping processing laboratory from 1996 to 1998. He earned his MS in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from I.N.S.A. Toulouse, France. He currently serves as a Biotechnology expert for the European Commission since 1999.

Dr. Malik Ghallab is a research scientist at CNRS. His research activity is mainly focused perception, control, planning and decision making in robotics and AI. He contributed to topics such as object recognition, scene interpretation, heuristics search, pattern matching and unification algorithms, knowledge compiling for real-time synchronous systems, temporal planning and supervision systems. He has been in charge of the ROBEA, the French national interdisciplinary program on Robotics. Since 2003, Malik Ghallab is the director of the LAAS-CNRS, a research institute in Information Sciences and Technologies associated to several universities. LAAS hosts over 560 scientists, engineers, post-docs and PhDs, in addition to about 250 graduate students. LAAS covers four research areas : micro and nano systems ; modeling, optimization and control of dynamic systems ; critical information systems ; robot and autonomous systems.

Pascal LAGARDE, 41 years old, graduated from école Polytechnique (X 82) and from école Nationale Supérieure des Techniques Avancées (1987). He began his career as program director in the national defence procurement agency (Délégation Générale pour l’Armement, DGA) within the ministry of Defence, in the sector of telecommunications (1987-1993). He became, within the Ministry of Industry (1994-1998), successively in charge for the electronic components, for the computer and telecommunication industries, and then (at the end of 1998), responsible for “programmes and prospective” department, where he managed programmes on electronic commerce, use of Internet by SMEs and Information Society. Pascal LAGARDE joined CDC Entreprises in September 1999, as Director for venture and seed capital. He was promoted in 2001 executive vice-President, chairman of CDC Entreprises Valeurs Moyennes in 2002 (smallcap investment in public companies), and took additional responsibilities on international activities. In June 2003, he is appointed as CEO of CDC Entreprises - FP gestion (a 100% subsidiary of CDC Entreprises). CDC Entreprises is the subsidiary of Caisse des Dépôts in charge of private equity. The main objective of CDC Entreprises - FP gestion is to develop the private equity market in France, thus contributing to the creation of SMEs, value and jobs. CDC Entreprises - FP gestion intervenes like a fund of funds, investing in proprietary and private equity funds, focusing mainly on local firms and the financing of newly created companies. CDC Entreprises - FP gestion aids in the development of these market sectors by striving towards levels of efficiency, liquidity and profitability that will enable it to exercise a ratchet effect on private investors.

Jacques Lewiner carries out basic and applied research in various domains of physics. He was Scientific Director of ESPCI from 1987 to 2001, has published more than 80 scientific papers in International Journals and has presented at numerous international conferences.
In parallel with his research Jacques Lewiner has developed many practical applications of his work. He has filed more than 140 patent applications, many of these applications being extended to foreign countries. A significant number of these patents have been either licensed or sold to companies.
Jacques Lewiner has participated in the creation of various technology oriented start up companies, for instance Inventel, specialising in Telecommunications and Finsecur who develops and markets fire detection systems. Most of these companies have experienced a strong (and in some case spectacular) growth.

After graduating in Law, he worked as a journalist for the dailies Sud-Ouest, La Nouvelle République du Centre, and the Dépêche du Midi, before deciding to enter the world of politics.After successfully standing for Local Councillor for Vayrac (Lot) in 1970, he was elected Mayor of Figeac (Lot) from 1977 until 2001, as well as Deputy for the National Assembly for the Lot from 1978 until 1998. In 1984, he is nominated by the French government as State Secretary in charge of Energy Matters for the Minister of Industry. In 1992, he takes on the post of State Secretary with the responsibility for Relations with Parliament, as well as spokesman for the government. He is Budget Minister*** from 1992 until 1993. Since1998, he is the President of the Midi-Pyrénées Region, winning by a landslide victory in his 2004 re-election.His other responsibilities include Chairman of the A.P.V.F. (Association of French Small Towns), a position he has held since 1990 as well as Chairman of the A.R.F. (Association of French Regions) Transport Commission since 2004.

Jean-Marc Thomas was appointed General Manager Airbus France in January 2004.
After graduating as an aeronautical engineer in 1972 from the French engineering school ENSAE, Mr Thomas joined the aircraft division of Aerospatiale in 1973 as a structure research engineer.
In 1976 he moved to the helicopter division as an aerodynamic research engineer before returning to the aircraft division as manager of the structure research and methods department.
In 1987, Mr Thomas was appointed manager of the structure department for the A330/A340 programme and in 1989 director of hypersonic programmes at Aerospatiale headquarters in Paris, in charge of co-ordinating future hypersonic programmes.
In 1991 he became chief engineer for the A319/A320/A321 programmes in Toulouse, then Design Office director for the aircraft division. In 1999 he was appointed technical and industrial director, then senior vice president industry, research and technology, quality at EADS headquarters in Paris.
Prior to his present position, he was Toulouse plant manager and general secretary of Airbus France since 2002.
